(1) Excellent heat resistance. Foamed PS is usually used at 80 ℃, while foamed PE can only withstand 70-80 ℃, while foamed PP can withstand 120 ℃. The size shrinkage of foamed PP is less than 2% when placed at 120 ℃ for 22 hours, while the shrinkage of foamed PE is about 40% under the same conditions. Therefore, foamed PP can be used in situations where the temperature exceeds 100 ℃.
(2) Excellent mechanical properties. Take the Ace type PP foam of Guhe Electric Company as an example, its mechanical properties such as tensile strength and tear strength are at the high level of foam plastic; Its compressive strength is lower than that of hard PUR and foamed PS, but higher than soft PUR, indicating a moderate compressive strength.
(3) Significant insulation. Foam PP, like foam PE, has a closed cell structure, so its thermal conductivity is not affected by moisture. Due to its lower thermal conductivity compared to foamed PE and significant insulation properties, it can be used as an insulation material.
(4) Good resilience and high impact energy absorption capacity.
(5) Chemical corrosion resistance is better than all other foam plastics; Durable to edible oil, meeting the needs of greasy food packaging.
(6) Good stress cracking resistance.
(7) Compared to foamed PS, there is no toxic gas released during combustion.
(8) Recyclable and reproducible.
(9) The degradation performance is significantly better than that of foamed PS and foamed PE.
